Government Issue w/ War on Women and The Space Fags

Government Issue is a seminal D.C. hardcore band formed by singer John Stabb and guitarist John Barry in 1980 along with original bassist Brian Gay and drummer Marc Alberstadt. Over the years the band has gone on to include a veritable “who’s who” of the Washington, D.C. punk scene including Brian Baker, J. Robbins, Mike Fellows, Tom Lyle, and Pete Moffett. The band has incorporated a diverse range of sounds in its version of hardcore, including new wave, pop, metal, and psychedelia. The current line up of the band includes Stabb, Barry, and Fest veterans S. Dwayne Bruner (Cross My Heart) on bass, and Evan Tanner (Cross My Heart, War on Women) on drums.
