BevCon Excursion: ACE Basin Trip

Rise and shine! Grab a biscuit and bloody Mary, and join us for a good, old-fashioned day in the (Low)country! We’ll be piling onto the bus and rolling down to the ACE Basin to visit a 300-year-old farm growing Blue Ribbon sugar cane, Charleston Gold rice and Jimmy Red corn.
Jimmy Hagood, Lavington Farms’ steward and a local pitmaster, will lead our tour through the fields; teach us about the farm’s rich history and talk about his current farm-to-bottle collaborations with High Wire Distilling Co. He’ll also demonstrate sugar cane juicing, the first step in the process of making cane syrup.
Guests will enjoy a delicious barbecue picnic beside the marsh, accompanied by spirits tastings and cocktails by High Wire
